One of the rare posts where I *don't* make a ceiling cat reference. =-O

The crowd is pumped and the biggest event on the DWF calendar is well underway, with the heat and electricity bouncing through the arena. The anticipation can be felt from the tens of thousands of fans in attendance as Lillian Garcia once again raises her microphone to her mouth.

Lillian Garcia: Introducing first, from Seattle Washington…

Tonight, there’s gonna be a fight,
So if you need a place to go,
Got a two room slum, a mattress and a gun,
And the cops don’t never show…

Lillian Garcia: …weighing at two-hundred-thirty-seven pounds, he is the Darkside Wrestling Federation StrikeZone Champion, Devinnn Reillyyy!

A chorus of cheers accompanies the StrikeZome Champion Devin Reilly to the stage, as he takes a swift stroll down the ramp, flashing his Title to the crowd and the cameras. As he continues down the steel ramp, he cracks his neck backwards and forwards and side to side before climbing up the steel steps and climbing the turnbuckle, holding his StrikeZone Championship up in the air, cueing a pop to echo throughout. Devin hops off of the turnbuckle, and hands his title over to the referee, bouncing and pulling on the ropes thereafter then keeps perfectly still in the middle of the ring, concentrated stare aimed at the stage and titantron as he prepares for his opponent.

“Good Ol’ JR” Jim Ross: And we welcome you back here in Salem, Massachusetts for DWF’s Straight to the Grave, and right now, we have a special treat for all the fans as our newly crowned StrikeZone Champion, Devin Reilly, is getting ready to face off against a mystery opponent for his gold.

Jerry “The King” Lawler: The mystery opponent HAS TO be someone from StrikeZone! Then again, it would be an interesting turn of events to see someone from Aggression face off against the StrikeZone Champion!

JR: That is indeed true King, but the opponent is a mystery, so the best thing to do is to simply sit back and watch. If it’s one thing I can tell you about Devin Reilly, I can definitely tell you that he will make sure the match will go on for as long as humanly possible, and it will end as he will see fit. For those of you watching our last edition of StrikeZone, I must remind you that Devin had gone through five other DWF Superstars, including his Buddy Frying Pan Joe, in a King of the Mountain match, and claimed the gold!

King: And he’s here tonight, standing in the middle of the ring, in the middle of the biggest event on the DWF calendar! Who knows where he’s going to be at next year’s Straight to the Grave!

And with that, “Saints of Los Angeles” dies down and a silence falls upon the arena in anticipation for Devin’s opponent…
